Fitzsimons Partners
The former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center site has many partners to
thank for its successful transition from an historic medical military
facility into one of the largest, state-of-the-art medical developments
in the country.
First and foremost, the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority
has been instrumental in the preservation, restoration and re-imagining
of this historic site. In partnership with the FRA, Forest City Science
+ Technology Group is in the process of developing a 170-acre parcel
within the site: the Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons.
Also
on the site, at the Anschutz Medical Campus, are the University of
Colorado Denver and the University of Colorado Hospital, in addition to
The Children’s Hospital. The Veterans Administration Hospital is slated
to open in 2015.
Together, these partners are creating a square
mile of cutting-edge real estate dedicated exclusively to research,
education and healing.
